ASPAN Region II Director's Report October 2,2011

Happy Fall everyone!  It has been a busy 3 months for this Director.  I have been fortunate to have face to face meetings with Component leaders from Region 2 including those from Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, and Louisiana.  I will be meeting Component leaders of both Iowa and Nebraska as I attend the ISPAN Fall conference in Carroll, Iowa this coming October 15 - 16.  I am in contact with Component leaders from Mississippi who will have their Fall conference at the same time as ISPAN.

We had a successful Component Development Institute (CDI) in Philadelphia September 9-11.  I personally spoke to first time attendees and was encouraged by their positive take from the presentations.

I would encourage members who want to become more active in ASPAN at the national level to complete a Willingness to Participate form-deadline is Octobr 31, 2011.  I will be attending ASPAN's Mid Year Board meeting in November and will report to MOKAN PANA leaders and members any updates from that meeting.
